British Virgin Islands
Category 5 Hurricane “Irma”, one of the strongest on record, caused a trail of devastation through the Caribbean Islands.
Barbuda, St Barths, St Martin / Maarten and the Virgin Islands have all been heavily impacted with many people loosing their homes and businesses. Many yachts have been damaged, some lost, however many more were out of the reaches of Hurricane Irma & Maria in locations such as the Southern Caribbean, USA or Mediterranean. Some yachts which were in the hurricane’s path were very fortunate and sustained minimal cosmetic damage.
If you have a yacht charter booked in the Caribbean we will contact you individually with details of the yacht & cruising grounds. There are many beautiful areas to cruise in the Caribbean and Antigua, St Kitts, Nevis, Guadeloupe, Martinique, St Lucia and the Grenadines sustained little if any damage. You may be able to reschedule your charter for another time and or location, or it may still be possible to charter in your booked area. We will continue to post updates on the progress of redevelopment.
